The Fenwick Girls’ Golf Team welcomes girls of all golf abilities. Our goal is to compete while having fun, and to develop within players a love of the game as a lifetime source of competition and enjoyment. While competitive golf is a highly individual sport, we emphasize team building and good sportsmanship.
Recent Highlights:
2021
Finished with a 9-1 record for individual matches.
Conference Championship: Finished 3rd with sr. Lillian Bateman and junior Kathryn Sweeney named all-conference.
State Series: Fenwick finished tied for 1st place in their regional. The Fenwick Girls Team finished with their best sectional ranking in years. Senior Lillian Bateman and her sister, junior Charlotte Bateman both qualified individually for the state championship. At State, both sisters survived the first day cut to finish high in the individual state rankings.
2020
Team finished 7-1 in individual matches during the regular season.
Fenwick finished 2nd at the GCAC Conference tournament. Junior Lillian Bateman, sophs JoJo Wiktor and Charlotte Bateman, and frosh Kathryn Sweeney were each named to the all-conference team.
Fenwick finished first at their regional and again qualified for the sectional tournament.
2019
Team qualified for sectionals by finishing 2nd in their regional tournament.
Soph Lillian Bateman and Senior Taylor Hultquist both finished 2 strokes short of individually qualifying for the state championships with a great showing at the sectional tournament.
2018
Team had a successful match season with individual wins over Trinity, Montini, and St. Ignatius.
Team placed 3rd in their IHSA 2a region and qualified for sectionals.
Senior Alexis Attard earned medalist honors at IHSA 2a regionals.
Junior Taylor Hultquist earned all-conference medalist honors at the GCAC Tournament.
